Envisioning a Digital-First Nonprofit: Mindsets and Skillsets for Transformation


This highly participatory and interactive forum will help you look at existing and the next wave of technologies (artificial intelligence, machine learning, and more) to formulate a vision for being a digital-first nonprofit. Assess your organization’s approach to incorporating digital, and learn from peers and experts in the room on digital transformation for service delivery, governance, marketing, fundraising, and other areas. Gain insights on the needed mindsets, tool sets, and skill sets to achieve your mission and have a greater impact in your programs.

Josh Hirsch

Director of Mission and Communication

Susan G. Komen Florida

Josh Hirsch is the Director of Mission and Communication for Susan G. Komen South Florida. He has worked in the nonprofit sector since 2006 with a focus on educational philanthropy for both public charter and independent private schools. He has an extensive background in social media, digital communications, and marketing along with experience in grant research and writing, individual giving, special event planning, stewardship, and cultivation of donors. He is past Communications Chair and incoming President-elect for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Palm Beach County Chapter. Josh is also a member of the AFPeeps, the social media vanguard for the AFP International Conference and other AFP initiatives. He has spoken nationally on social media and has had numerous articles published in professional journals. Josh received a Master of Science in Family, Youth and Community Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Florida. He has a Certificate in Strategic Fundraising and Philanthropy from Bay Path University and is a Certified Social Media Strategist by the National Institute for Social Media.

Julia Campbell

Julia Campbell has run her digital marketing consulting business for almost a decade, focused exclusively on mission-driven organizations. A mom of 2 and a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, she is the author of Storytelling in the Digital Age: A Guide for Nonprofits, a call-to-action for nonprofits to use stories to accomplish their missions.

Based in Boston, Julia is a global authority on digital storytelling, with happy clients spanning the globe from Moscow to San Francisco. She has provided workshops and training to Meals on Wheels America, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Facebook. Julia is a frequent contributor to Nonprofit Tech for Good, Social Media Today, Maximize Social Business, Elevation Web, Network for Good, Wild Apricot, and others.

Beth has over 35 years working in the nonprofit sector in capacity building and has facilitated trainings for thousands of social change activists and nonprofits on every continent in the world. She is an in-demand keynote speaker and workshop leader. Named one of the most influential women in technology by Fast Company and one of the BusinessWeek’s “Voices of Innovation for Social Media,” Beth was Visiting Scholar at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation 2009-2013. She author of the award winning Networked Nonprofit Books and The Happy Healthy Nonprofit: Strategies for Impact without Burnout ( published by J.Wiley. She writes “Beth’s Blog,” one of the first nonprofit blogs. Her clients include foundations, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.

Marco is a digital fundraising expert, specialising in Peer to Peer fundraising having worked for eight years at JustGiving, the UK fundraising platform that has raised $5 billon for good causes.

He has shaped the online fundraising of some of the world-leading digital fundraising campaigns such as Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life with 100s of thousands of fundraisers and has helped to raise tens of millions for charities annually.

He now advises charities including Unicef on digital fundraising and provides strategic advice to fundraising platforms such as RaiseNow and

Marco is a Board Member of the Resource Alliance, the charity behind the world leading International Fundraising Congress (IFC) and IFC Asia which every year brings together up to 1000 fundraisers from over 60 countries for a week of intense learning and experience exchange.
