Design Thinking for Changemakers: Tools to Personalize Your Impact

Description

The digital marketing landscape is filled with a dizzying array of hazy jargon:  content strategy, user research, personalization, user experience, conversions, metrics and analytics.  In this session, we will demystify what—in reality—are really helpful concepts that designers use every day to sharpen their approach to solving problems.  If applied correctly, these concepts can have an enormous impact on how, as a change maker, you research, strategize, and plan.

As part of a mini-workshop, we will help you use design thinking to refine your mission, target your community or supporters, develop more effective messaging, hone your programming, and create more effective outreach campaigns. We will review a set of tools you can apply within your organization that help you focus on the user. Come with pens and pencils! (Digital tools are acceptable as well.)
