Design Thinking Basics: From “Resource Rich” to “Light and Scrappy”
Join us for an introduction to design thinking! Design thinking is a framework for solving complex problems through a human-centered process. For this learning session, facilitators will share approaches along with tools and methods to incorporate design thinking into your projects, processes, or nonprofit work. Attendees will see examples of how to use design thinking in a variety of budget settings, from a full-fledged, resource-rich design process to more “light and scrappy” ways to apply design thinking into everyday work.
The session will start with an overview of the essentials for design thinking. Next, the facilitators will share tools, methods, and case studies from their experience and past work at different organizations. There will be time during the session for attendees to ask questions and share their own experiences.
