More and more organizations are integrating their marketing departments with development, but what are the secrets to making the most of this collaboration? In this session, Sarah Durham of Big Duck and Kivi Leroux-Miller of the Nonprofit Marketing Guide will explore what makes a successful communications team and provide insight into how that success can benefit the entire organization—from producing donor-centered communications and recruiting participants, to engaging your community and raising awareness.

They will share findings from a nonprofit communications team success survey that explores trends in the structure and relationship of communications teams today and provides new ways for you to think about how to measure and evolve your team. Together, the group will explore how to support and grow your current team, what new qualifications you might look for when making your next hire, and how to break down departmental silos and barriers.
