Big Ideas, Little Resources: Social Media for Small Organizations
The amount of resources that an organization could devote to social media seems practically infinite, with so many platforms, so many types of content, and so many possibilities. But the reality is that many organizations can dedicate only one staff member (or more likely, only a small fraction of their time) to social media. How do you determine where they should focus?
This workshop aims to answer that question by describing a framework for content in a funnel of engagement, to ensure that every post on social media is goal-driven and intentional. We’ll introduce social media tools and tips for increasing efficiency and saving time and money, and we’ll end by sharing an action plan template for an organization to use social media to achieve a specific objective.
- Choose strategically when, where, and what to post, given few resources
- Use social media tools and tricks that save time and increase efficiency
- Develop an action plan to use social media to achieve a specific objective
