20NTC Session Proposal

A Corporate Solution for a Non Profit Organization

The Union for Reform Judaism deployed Yammer to engage over 15,000 lay and professional leaders on our staff and in communities throughout North America. Though Yammer is learned as an enterprise social networking platform for large corporations, we saw it as a solution for our small, not profit organization as well. Learn why Yammer was chosen, how users of different skill levels and backgrounds have been engaged in meaningful discussion and resource sharing, and how we have become a stronger organization as a result. We will discuss ways that we trained our users and how we we encouraged engagement and adoption of a single platform for communication, collaboration and creating community.

Learning Outcomes

  • How to select a platform to serve the unique needs of your organization
  • How to use that platform to engage both staff and community members
  • How to connect users of different skill sets and backgrounds with platform

Target Audience

1. Online community engagement professionals. 2. Internal communications professionals
