19NTC Session

Net Neutrality, Governing the Web, and Building an Internet for All

Many of us rely on the internet every day at work and at home. For millions of Americans (and billions of people around the world), access to the internet and all that comes with it—from services and support to social connection and civic participation—are out of reach. And for those with the internet, we are in the midst of the latest push to divide up content, create paywalls and incentives, and otherwise capitalize what many truly believe has the potential to be the most democratizing tool in the world. What can any of us as individuals do? And what role can our nonprofits play?

This session was handcrafted by NTEN to tackle an issue that transcends departmental silos, and is part of our inaugural Featured Sessions program.
