Momentum for Change

With 60 Million Americans unable to participate from home in the kind of Internet experience many of us take for granted, it’s critical that as nonprofit staff we question our assumptions and address myths around connectivity in our communities.

During our Thursday morning plenary entitled, Momentum for Change: Strategies for Achieving Digital Equity, we will hear from three passionate and experienced leaders. Between the three presenters, we will explore both the myths that hold us back from effective engagement as well as real-world examples of successful models for addressing systemic barriers to digital equity, and the realities of urban, suburban, and rural communities.

  • Jon Gant, Research Associate Professor and Director, Center for Digital Inclusion, Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
