We are able to provide conference registration scholarships to include community members who might not otherwise be able to attend the 18NTC. Partial support for these scholarships comes from generous donations from the NTEN community and our 18NTC sponsors. Please note that scholarships do not cover travel or hotel expenses.
Thank you, 18NTC scholarship sponsors!
Scholarships will be awarded in three categories: Diversity, Local, and General.
We strive to be inclusive and to increase diversity at the NTC. We are allocating scholarships for individuals who identify as part of an underrepresented group, including:
- People of color
- Members of the LGBTQA community
- People living in rural areas
Do you feel that you belong to an underrepresented group, but don’t fit into any of the above categories? Do not hesitate to apply for the Diversity scholarship pool. The above scholarship categories are examples of how we seek to diversify the NTC, but this is by no means the limits of the diversity we hope for the 18NTC.
The Local Scholarship is for people from New Orleans or nearby. We appreciate your city and we want to give local organizations and communities the opportunity to participate in 18NTC.
All are welcome to apply for the General scholarship pool.
All applicant information will be kept in strictest confidence, and used only to help allocate scholarship places. Scholarships cover the cost of registration only. Travel and hotel are NOT included in the scholarship. (Note: Many conference attendees carpool and share rooms. Look for opportunities in the 18NTC community forum, which will open in December.)
We will prioritize applications from first-time attendees or those who have not received an NTEN conference scholarship. We will give only one scholarship per organization.
Applicants who submit during the application period and do not receive a scholarship will be given the opportunity to register at the Early Bird rate.
We will ask scholarship recipients to assist with conference promotion. Participation is not required.
Last-minute cancellations and no-shows mean that we’ve missed an opportunity to extend a scholarship to another community member. All cancellations must be made in writing to email@example.com by January 18.
Fill out the form embedded at the bottom of this page. The form will only be available during the application period.
