In May 2015, NTEN and Google Fiber launched the Digital Inclusion Fellowship, a new national program investing in local communities and nonprofit organizations to address the digital divide. Call for Applications for City Hosts in the Digital Inclusion Fellowship

In May of last year, we announced the first ever Digital Inclusion Fellowship (DIF), in partnership with Google Fiber, and with additional funding support from the Knight Foundation in Charlotte, N.C . We’re excited to announce that we’re extending the Fellowship for a second year. Today, we’re opening Fellowship City Host applications in several cities.

Digital Inclusion Fellowship: Update and Milestones

The first cohort of Fellows began their placements in July 2015. Now, halfway through their one-year program and 6 months into our first administration of this new program, we are extremely proud of the progress made already and inspired at the potential to continue scaling and building out this valuable program.
