The Office of Development seeks a dynamic, highly-accomplished Major Gift Officer to fund the advancement of clinical and translational research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Reporting directly to the Director of Individual Giving, the Major Gift Officer will work to create customized strategies for cultivation and solicitation of five-and six-figure gifts from individual donors and prospects. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with an interest in and familiarity with science, and who is capable of building sustainable, long-term philanthropic relationships while meeting annual fundraising goals for our premier, research-intensive medical school dedicated to leading biomedical investigation and the development of ethical and compassionate physicians and scientists.
Qualified candidates will have earned a bachelor’s degree and have 3-5 years of proven success in major gifts fundraising, preferably within a research, academic or healthcare organization. Candidates must have strong computer skills, including competencies with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and The Raiser’s Edge database or a comparable fundraising database.
