The Morton Arboretum’s Information Technology Department is seeking someone with good management, technical, and communication skills to join their team. You will work with a diverse group of tree enthusiasts across multiple departments of this growing organization. The IT department provides technological solutions for new and existing Arboretum business needs through effective collaboration with all Arboretum stakeholders. Position Summary: Serve as project coordinator for the Information Technology department. Work with Arboretum departments, external consultants, and vendors to coordinate various components needed to initiate, execute, and successfully conclude Information Technology projects. Assist with the annual budget development process and monthly budget review.
Essential Functions:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3+ years of relevant project coordination experience with complex, deadline oriented projects preferred. High level confidentiality, organizational skills, detail orientation, strong interpersonal skills required. Ability to work in a team environment with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as external consultants and vendors required.Strong communication, computer and internet research skills required. Proficiency with Google applications strongly preferred.
Success Factors:Strong verbal, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to nimbly manage complex tasks and concurrent projects, effective time-management skills, and a positive and flexible approach to the job.
