Our client, Sweet Adelines International (SA) is looking for a technology leader to provide oversight and expertise for the organization’s database and long-term IT strategic planning. This position’s primary responsibility is managing all aspects of the organization’s online Association Management Software (AMS) database, Impexium. This includes maintaining the data’s integrity and utilizing best practices in the oversight and application of all processes and procedures. This role will leverage the organization’s use of Impexium to ensure the database directly supports the programmatic strategies of SA.
Champion the long-term strategic roadmap for technology to help the organization achieve its mission
Manage the integrity of the association’s AMS database system.
Conduct regular audits of the AMS database system to identify and implement online and offline database cleanup, including record merges.
Work with SA support staff to update database records and increase the amount of successful email and postal deliveries. Track and maintain reporting on deliveries.
Advance the association’s data strategies by staying current with data integrity best practices, processes, procedures, methods, and technology applications.
Collaborate with the stakeholders and leadership to create and maintain user guides, policies, and procedures for the AMS database system.
Implement policies and procedures across the association to effectively enhance data integrity.
Design, implement, and train system users on best practices for using the AMS database system.
Develop and manage appropriate AMS database system security groups and user permissions within the platform.
Manage program functionality for membership, sales, conventions, education, operations, fundraising, advocacy, and other SA programs as needed.
Manage data transfer processes and the integration of data between the AMS database system and external source platforms; this includes email marketing, LMS, CMS, MIP Abila, and other applications that SA uses from time to time. Troubleshoot data integration issues and communicate with appropriate parties.
Create, manage, and run queries, exports, and reports to provide constituent managers with information related to departmental initiatives.
Analyze reports, as requested by staff to support programmatic efforts.
Proactively make recommendations for improvements regarding data integrations, reporting capabilities, and the association’s approach to the management of data, including recommending any potential database update, reconstruction, or complete redesign.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working with business leaders to select, implement, and maintain technology solutions to solve business challenges

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a non-profit setting with increased responsibilities
Deep understanding of Association Management Software (AMS) solutions such as Impexium or NetForum
Knowledge of strategies and principles of membership database operations
Implementation of programmatic (API) integrations between a wide range of platforms
Hands-on web software development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP)
Hands-on database design and management experience with SQL expertise
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, information technology, or similar fields of study
