Our client, The American Technion Society is currently seeking a Digital Engagement Manager to join their growing organization. This position is a hybrid NYC based role.  

The American Technion Society (ATS) supports visionary education and world-changing impact through the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Based in New York City, they represent thousands of US donors, alumni and stakeholders who invest in the Technion’s growth and innovation to advance critical research and technologies that serve the State of Israel and the global good. ATS employs a staff of 60 + that work from New York and in regional offices across the United States.

 

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, the Digital Engagement Manager will work on digital campaigns, content and experiences that drive brand awareness, event registration, and supporter engagement. This key team member will use data to make decisions, play a strategic role in project management, keep a pulse on digital performance, and will be responsible for creating, executing, and optimizing content and campaigns to increase followers and subscribers and increase engagement through multiple digital channels.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Project Management: 25%

  • Oversee digital campaign management, execution, and reporting
  • Review email, social media, web reports and create actionable recommendations to increase followers, subscribers, event registration, traffic and engagement
  • Assist Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications with Happy Fox support request tickets
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to create deliverables, plan, and timeline for digital engagement projects

Social Media: 25%

  • Oversee social media strategy, management, and advertising for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Write copy and work with graphic designer to secure creative
  • Report on weekly top posts for social media
  • Knowledge of video production, editing, and embedding videos for social media
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and/or CANVA

Email Marketing: 25%

  • Oversee email marketing strategy, content creation, and deployment, including planning, copyediting, securing graphics, coding emails in html/css, cross email client QA, setting up delivery, monitoring and reporting back on metrics, and maintaining list health
  • Use data to determine content for monthly e-newsletter and create email engagement campaigns
  • Serve as marketing trainer for staff, advising on best practices and access to various systems, including email
  • Propose, implement, and report on A/B tests that increase email open, click-through, and conversion rates
  • Liaise with Advancement Services to maintain data hygiene for our e-crm, including uploading new constituents and managing email groups
  • Monitor the hello@ats.org mailbox, processing email subscription requests, responding to inquiries, and forwarding messages to relevant stakeholders, and serving as back up for monitoring info@ats.org
  • Build and execute fundraising email acquisition campaigns
  • Utilize UTM builder to ensure accuracy in reporting

Website and E-CRM: 15%

  • Perform ongoing CMS updates for our public facing site and intranet
  • Use Luminate or alternative CRM templates to build landing pages and confirmation emails for event RSVPs and engagement surveys

General: 10%

  • Support and manage ad hoc projects, vendors and freelancers as needed
  • Serve as back-up for the Assistant Creative Director, including fulfilling MOS orders as needed
  • Assist with creating process and systems to build efficiency
  • Provide backup on graphic design, video editing, copywriting, copyediting and proofreading support

YOUR EXPERTISE

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4-6 years working in digital marketing, non-profits, or ad agency required
  • Excellent writing, proof reading and editing skills
  • Working knowledge of coding in HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with a wide array of digital campaign tools preferred
  1. WordPress or other content management system (CMS)
  2. Google Drive, Drop Box, or other cloud network drive
  3. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or other customer relationship management (CRM)
  4. Luminate, Cvent, or other email service provider (ESP)
  5. Expert in Google Analytics
  6. Slack, Microsoft Teams, or other instant message software
  7. Trello, Microsoft Planner, or other project management software
  8. Happy Fox, Zen Desk, or other support ticketing software
  9. Facebook ad manager, Sprout Social, or other Social Media platforms
  • Demonstrated excellence in a variety of competencies including teamwork, analytical thinking, and client/customer awareness
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work well with varying levels of management while exercising independent decision-making and discretion
  • Ability to set priorities and work with diplomacy and efficiency in a high demand environment
  • Passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional work quality
  • A commitment to the vison and mission of ATS

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
