Why Concord Direct:

It’s our passion to help nonprofits exceed their goals, grow their direct response programs year-over-year, and help more people. As an employee, you’ll be proud of the work you’re doing to drive positive change in the world by empowering the work of our clients.

Company Description:

We help organizations change the world by building valuable relationships with the people who support their missions. Since our founding as a printing company over 60 years ago, Concord Direct has continuously delivered innovative solutions to the timing, budget, and communications challenges unique to nonprofit organizations. Over the years, our team of experienced marketers has helped Concord Direct evolve into an all-in-one agency partner for nonprofits that want to generate results.

About This Position—What You Will Do:

Concord Direct is seeking a Senior Digital Project Manager to oversee the completion and launch of our fundraising clients’ digital campaigns which include emails, landing pages and donation forms, organic social posts, paid media ads, and videos. Working closely with members of multiple teams, you will confirm the availability of resources, create and manage schedules, ensure plans and work align with approved budgets and tech requirements, and meet team and client expectations along the way. You’ll make critical decisions daily to address competing priorities, conflicting information, strategic misalignment, resource management challenges, or technical obstacles while seeking additional guidance as needed. You’ll also play an important role in developing our company’s best practices and standard procedures for the workflow and documentation of these projects from the ground up.

This fast-paced, solution-oriented role requires top-notch project management skills, technical knowledge specific to ever-evolving digital marketing projects, highly effective communication skills, and both independence as well as an outstanding ability to collaborate with others. This position reports to the Director of Digital Services within the Agency Strategic Services division.

You should be skilled in the following areas:

  • Digital marketing: Fluent knowledge of digital marketing, advertising, technology, and fundraising terminology.
  • Translating the complex into the understandable: Adept at translating technical concepts and nuanced digital metrics, strategies, and requirements into understandable and digestible information for the client and other key collaborators.
  • Project management: Superior project and time management skills with experience implementing project management methodologies (Kanban, Agile) and systems to help teams plan, prioritize and structure work.
  • ESP, CRM, Web, Content Management and Rendering system knowledge: Experience with the connections between ESPs, CRMs (Luminate, Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Engaging Networks, EveryAction, Raiser’s Edge), web, and email functionality/rendering (Email on Acid, Litmus, and Browserstack) platforms.
  • Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Personal: Strong initiative, curiosity and sense of humor, plus drive for professional growth, learning, and individual success.

You’ll spend your days focused on the following:

Project Management: You’ll manage the development and launch of our client’s digital campaigns and guide teams to adhere to schedules, budgets, requirements, and expectations. You’ll contribute to campaign briefs with the business requirements for access and system needs, plan the order and priority of work, and translate steps into our project management tool (Trello). You’ll collaborate with account management, creative, paid media, engineering, and data/strategic planning to get updates and feedback on progress. You’ll align resources with projects and prioritize competing demands to keep everything on track while adjusting plans and seeking support when needed.

Technical Advising: With your technical background and knowledge of CRM, ESP and web-related systems, you’ll advise teams on requirements during campaign planning, guide them to explore appropriate options and weigh in on solutions, considerations and potential pitfalls to shape our recommendations to clients. Collaborating with engineering, account management, and other experts, you’ll ensure alignment with each client’s tech platforms, data management, and content management infrastructures. You’ll also manage testing/QC for emails, web pages, and related elements, and your anticipation of technical barriers, user experiences, and problems in advance of issues occurring, as well as troubleshooting throughout campaigns, will be invaluable.

Process Development and Continuous Improvement: You’ll help us build a super solid foundation to increase our efficiency and scale. Your workflow recommendations and process templates/revisions in Trello will keep improving the way we work every day, in addition to your input on documentation, workflow, processes, steps, checklists and beyond. And when we branch into new products and services, you’ll be right there to translate campaigns into project management requirements, positively impacting our end-to-end business process with internal collaborators.

Are you the one we’re looking for?

You’ll have multiple years of experience managing the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns with a strong technical understanding, preferably having worked for a nonprofit organization or an agency. We’d prefer you to have a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or other discipline with conveyable knowledge, but will consider people who bring any relevant background to the position.

Culture Matters: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

At Concord Direct, we believe it takes diversity of thought, culture, background, and perspective to develop the most powerful and successful solutions for our nonprofit clients. We aspire to be more diverse, and welcome applicants from all walks of life. If you believe you exemplify our values and want to help us build a more inclusive, diverse and equitable work environment, we encourage you to apply.
