What we’re after
We’re seeking a Professional Services Manager in our Washington, DC office to deliver the high-quality service our non-profit, association, and public sector clients expect. We’re specifically looking for fun individuals from our non-profit sector with fundraising experience, a good knowledge of Web communications, and non-profit use of Salesforce.com.

Our Soapbox Engage (www.soapboxengage.com) platform is used by non-profits and socially responsible businesses to easily manage their online marketing, including fundraising, event management, and advocacy. You’ll be helping non-profit organizations make the most out of these tools to raise more money and change the world.

This position will be on our professional services team, working with our community of organizations looking for hands-on assistance in deploying our products for their needs. The right person for this position will have experience applying software tools to specific project needs, including a background in leveraging Salesforce.com for fundraising.

What to bring to the table
If you’ve got a fundraising background and are looking to pivot that knowledge towards the technology world to help more organizations, this is the position for you! Although the position does not require a Web programming background, a strong understanding HTML and Web design is definitely helpful. You should have a bachelor’s degree, great references, excellent communication skills, and an ability to keep multiple projects on-time and on-budget. Experience working at consulting shops is also a big plus. Background working at a non-profit organization in a technology capacity is also looked highly upon.

After all the hard work, you’ll need to be willing to have fun and enjoy a small team work environment. The right applicant will not only have the basic tech qualifications, but will truly enjoy working for the non-profit sector. You’ve got to have heart. You’ve got to be passionate about public service and the social sector. Enjoying the sight of three-foot tall penguins in the office is also a bonus.

What’s the real deal
Position will be in-house, at our Washington, D.C. location (no consultants please)…but we can bend the rules if you’re fantastic and live in remote Alaska.
