About this Career Opportunity
The Physicians Committee is looking for an Online Fundraising and Advocacy Specialist to join our team. If you are experienced with Fundraising/Donor Management or CRM software and are highly organized, we want to hear from you. The Online Fundraising and Advocacy Specialist will work the Director of Annual Giving and other development team members to implement integrated fundraising campaigns and cultivate the engagement of supporters to advance our mission. Specific duties include:
- Preparing e-mails using HTML, CSS, and images
- Creating action alerts, donation pages, event registration forms, surveys, and static webpages
- Recommending practices to improve results such as open rates, click-throughs, and conversion rates
- Evaluating potential software vendors
- Ensuring accuracy and data hygiene in the current database
This is a full-time position located at the Physicians Committee’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a team player who will tackle his or her work with a sense of urgency and with persistence, who can manage several campaigns simultaneously and who is detail- and service-oriented. If you share these qualities; have an interest in the Physicians Committee\’s mission to advance the field of plant-based nutrition and promote alternatives to the use of animals in research, education and testing; and have two or more years of experience using Blackbaud, Salsa, or comparable Fundraising/Donor Management or CRM software, we\’d like to hear from you. Knowledge of Luminate Online and Raiser’s Edge is a plus. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web design best practices is also a plus.
