Serve as the primary source of data for daily reports, extractions, and general insights of customer and patron data.

  • Build custom reports as needed for various departments throughout the organization.
  • Provide data analysis, including visualization techniques for clarity and insight.
  • Document existing data models across organizational applications to assist Associate Director, Data Strategy & Business Intelligence in creating a holistic view and strategy for data.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Development to facilitate shared insights of customer and patron data.
  • Support Tessitura data issues as necessary, including administrative setup, configuration, and data entry questions.
  • Develop cross-departmental understanding of business processes and data needs.
  • Proactively provide recommendations for improvements, including new features or processes.
  • Occasionally, support Associate Director, Data Strategy & Business Intelligence as project manager for outsourced reports or Tessitura application projects.
  • Lead weekly meetings – includes setting agendas – for internal Tessitura support groups.
  • Manage upcoming Tessitura release cycles, including planning and staging of beta versions and dissemination of new features to stakeholders.
  • Remain active in the Tessitura community for knowledge sharing and latest trends and opportunities for data.
  • Support web team with API related questions and troubleshooting.
  • Miscellaneous duties as required.


  • 3-5 years writing reports in Tessitura.
  • 3-5 years of data analysis experience.
  • Familiar with either Marketing and/or Fundraising business practices within the performing arts. Willingness to learn and develop depth of understanding of both perspectives of the business.
  • Demonstrable skills in writing SQL – including stored procedures, building reports, using MS Excel and MS Access as data tools.
  • Skills with at least one data visualization package such as SAS or Tableau.
  • Professional, collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Willingness to step in and help as needed.
  • Patience and empathy for end users
