Gift Processing Associate

Global Fund for Women


At Global Fund for Women, we envision a world where movements for gender justice have transformed power and privilege for a few into equity and equality for all.

Monitor and assist in the seamless, integrated coordination among systems and departments for the lifecycle of all gifts including large and complex revenues. In particular, the position will focus on supporting clean and robust donor and gift data, projections, and supporting accounting control processes surrounding revenue, and will help to ensure that Salesforce and revenue projection systems meet the ever-changing needs of the organization, while functioning at the highest possible levels of efficiency and transparency.

Gift Processing

  • Review, investigate, correct and approve weekly revenue batches and associated pledge and restricted revenue forms
  • Be the main point of contact for gift processing consultants, ensure proper booking of gifts and keycodes, lead monthly QA meetings and process reviews, and manage changes and amendments to SOW
  • Follow up on the collection of large pledges with fundraisers
  • Communicate reporting requirements and specific acknowledgment requests in gift collateral to grants managers
  • Assist finance team in the month-end close cycle and reconciliation process
  • Serve as Primary Contact for all stock donations and monthly gifts
  • Co-manage the donations@ email inbox with Development Associate
  • Manage matching gifts confirmation and State/CFC registrations
  • Be point of contact for support around donation issues through EveryAction, Paragon, and Paypal

Salesforce Administration

  • Serve as a Salesforce Administrator for the Development team
  • Assist with Salesforce reports and dashboards to provide key information and track progress
  • Manage annual revenue plans and quarterly revenue projections prepared by the Development team, utilizing Salesforce opportunities and reporting
  • Perform duplicate record management and ensure healthy donor data
  • Work with the Director of Information Management to design and implement process and systems improvements to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of Salesforce, and to help ensure high quality data. These improvements include system automation when appropriate
  • Collaborate to provide outreach, guidance, training and support to Salesforce end users, motivating them to learn continuously
  • Cross-train with peers who perform critical salesforce tasks within fundraising and grant services departments, and provide back-up when needed
  • Begin training to become a certified Salesforce Administrator

Other Activities

  • Support and/or collaborate with other members of the Finance and Administration team and the Development team on special projects as needed
  • Participate in cross-functional work-teams and other teams as appropriate
  • Follow policies and procedures
  • Represent the Development team in a positive way within the organization and in interactions with individuals and organizations external to the Global Fund for Women


Internal Relationships

  • Report to Annual Giving Officer
  • Hold key relationship with VP of Development and Director of Operations

Work very closely and receive guidance from:

  • Finance Team
  • Fundraisers (Development Directors and Officers)
  • Director of Information Management
  • Constructive and effective daily working relationships with all other teams

External Relationships

  • Manage Systems consultants (Direct Answer gift processors)
  • EveryAction online donation hosting
  • Paragon payment processor
  • Auditors


  • Expertise in cross-functional use of Salesforce
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills
  • Superior computer skills and technical knowledge of data management systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel and Word)
  • Proven record of accuracy, efficiency, dependability, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, as well as being able to operate successfully in a cross-functional and cooperative environment
  • Commitment to promoting the Global Fund for Women’s mission and goals, including its commitment to diversity and to women’s human rights


  • Experience with Affinaquest and/or Nonprofit Success Pack
  • Experience working in or with Development / fundraising


  • At least three years of Salesforce experience and as well as use of Excel
