CSS seeks a creative, flexible content producer who is passionate about social media and social justice. This position will be responsible for day-to-day management of CSS social media accounts and will play a key role in executing multi-channel campaigns related to advocacy, public events, program outreach, dissemination of research findings, and audience engagement.

Job Description:

• Creates and posts daily content in a variety of media that engages and grows our social media audiences.

• Works with Marketing team members to identify appropriate voice and tone for social media content and to create new content that elevates CSS’s brand identity and key messages.

• Develops detailed social media plans with messages, graphics, and engagement targets for CSS campaigns, events, report releases, and program outreach. Works with coalition

partners and other advocates as appropriate to develop and disseminate effective campaign content. • Manages digital advertising campaigns on social media and other platforms, including Google Ads.

• Produces on-brand multi-media content including graphics, motion graphics, short videos, and photo collections to tell compelling stories about CSS programs and advocacy initiatives. This may include conducting interviews and photo/video shoots with clients, partners, and impacted individuals.

• Regularly reviews social media analytics data, researches current trend, and proposes new strategies to expand reach and engagement across digital channels.

• Supports Marketing team in making effective use of technology and developing user-friendly experiences related to sign-ups, advocacy, and online giving.

• Supports CSS departments in producing in-person, virtual, and live-stream public events including press conferences, rallies, and policy briefings.

• Assists CSS staff spokespeople and program representatives in the use of online communications channels in support of organizational priorities.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred

• Minimum 1-3 years of professional experience in digital marketing and communications or digital organizing, preferably in a nonprofit or advocacy setting.

• Demonstrated experience with social media community management, digital advertising, and social media analytics

• Excellent written communications skills and ability to adapt writing style to audience and context

• Experience with organizations and causes in the spheres of economic and social justice, including housing, health care, human services, and criminal justice reform

• Commitment to ensuring representation and inclusion throughout communications & marketing materials

• Ability to simplify and synthesize complex issues into clear and compelling content

• A high level of comfort with technology and digital media platforms, and a willingness to learn new skills

• Familiarity with digital content design and production tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
