The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (“Wilson Center”) seeks a highly
collaborative and creative DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCER/EDITOR within its External Relations Office.

Headquartered in Washington, DC, the Wilson Center is created by congressional statute as the living memorial to President Woodrow Wilson. It is the leading institution for in-depth research and open dialogue to inform actionable ideas on global issues. The Wilson Center is ranked #1 in Regional Studies in the world according to the findings from the University of Pennsylvania.

The Digital Content Producer/Editor will be creating video and multimedia content, assisting the team on website landing pages and social media posting and content as needed, writing content for digital collateral, and providing back-up support.
Projects may include, but not limited to, program profiles to event videos to educational products targeting a general audience.

The primary priorities of the position include:

  • Researching, shooting, and editing short videos and audio.
  • Taking photographs.
  • Writing scripts for video and audio that tell a story.
  • Creating multimedia projects such as podcasts, interactive timelines, maps, data visualizations, and explainers.
  • Assisting team to post and cross-promote content on the Center’s various platforms.
  • Updating website landing pages.
  • Provide back-up support for maintenance of the Wilson Center website and administration of the website content management system.
  • Assisting the team with a broader digital marketing strategy and implementing projects as desired.

Experience and Attributes
Ideal candidates for this position will share our commitment to being the leading non-partisan global think tank.

Essential experiences and attributes include:

  • Proven experience and proficiency in a variety of photographic and multimedia techniques and processes.
  • Experience working with audio-video graphic editing software (i.e. Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, InDesign).
  • Experience in developing video scripts.
  • Experience in producing video content on social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube).

The ideal candidate demonstrates creativity and flexibility in previous work experience with a strong interest in foreign policy and global affairs.
