The W.K. Kellogg Foundation, a leading philanthropic institution helping communities create the conditions children need to thrive, is seeking nominations and applications for the position of Digital Communications Manager. Reporting to the Digital Communications Officer, the new Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for the hands-on execution of integrated digital marketing and communications strategies to support organizational as well as internal and external communications goals and objectives. S/he will work with the Policy, Communications & Knowledge Analytics teams to identify, develop, and execute digital marketing and communications tactics across the WKKF digital ecosystem. Additionally, s/he will collaborate with peers in Policy, Communications & Knowledge Analytics, as well as with staff from strategic services and programming teams to appropriately elevate the foundation’s funding strategies, programmatic priorities, grantees, and partners to priority audiences.

Digital communications is an integral part of the internal communications unit and serves as an agency within the foundation to advance communications across all aspects of the organization. Among its primary responsibilities, digital communications oversees and manages integrated digital marketing & communications strategies and tactics across WKKF’s digital ecosystem for web, social, mobile, email, SEO/SEM, events, digital advertising and more. Additionally, the digital communications team partners with and contributes to executingstrategic communication and narrative strategies that are grounded in the WKKF mission, vision, and values, align with organizational goals and contribute to programmatic intent and direction.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in digital marketing, marketing, communications, or related field required and work experience (5+ years) in digital marketing and communications with an agency, corporation, or a nonprofit organization. S/he will be committed to advancing social change and achieving racial equity, with particular interest in the foundation’s grantmaking strategies to create healthy communities for children and families. Additionally, s/he will have demonstrated experience managing multi-channel digital marketing campaigns and high-traffic websites; proven experience with digital marketing, analytics, and engagement strategies; in-depth understanding of current digital marketing technologies, industry trends and audience engagement practices. S/he will be entrepreneurial-minded, a self-starter, and highly-motivated with a desire to learn and for building and maintaining professional relationships; and will be a well-rounded, driven, and highly dependable individual who thinks creatively, has a passion for “all things digital” and delivering quality results on large projects and daily tasks.
