Summary
The Database Coordinator is part of the Perkins School For The Blind Development Team which is charged with raising over $9 million dollars annually in support of Perkins’ mission to prepare children and young adults who are blind, blinddeaf, or visually impaired with the education, confidence and skills they need to realize their potential.

Reporting to the Director of Development Operations, the Development Database Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of development operations activities primarily in Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge donor database These activities include production of mail and email lists, managing monthly donor records, generating reports and analysis, troubleshooting user issues with the database and updating donor record. S/he will assist in implementing and documenting database business rules and procedures, and help to trouble-shoot user questions/issues. S/he will maintain a strong understanding of the Perkins email and online donation tools and work collaboratively with the web team. This position works in conjunction with all Trust database users, as well as IT, Business Office and Marketing departments.

Responsibilities include:
Data Integrity

Maintain various constituent lists and groups in Raiser’s Edge such as parents, alumni, students, board members and others.

Assist with imports and exports of data files.

Merge duplicate records, update address and other contact information and perform various data clean up tasks as needed.

Mailing Lists

Under the guidance of the Director of Development Operations or the Database Manager, help ensure accurate and timely data pulls from Raiser’s Edge database for mail appeals, event invitations and other development department activities.

Digital Fundraising

Maintain an understanding Perkins digital tools and how they intersect with Raiser’s Edge data. Assist with process to import online donations.

Other responsibilities

Generate monthly revenue and reconciliation reports from Raiser’s Edge.

Assist with documentation of business rules, coding of records and reporting protocols. Help to troubleshoot user issues in Raiser’s Edge and PaperSave.

Assist with operations related to donor lists produced in Annual report.

Support gift processing staff with data entry and acknowledgment processing as needed during busy times.

Provide staff assistance as needed for Special Events.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum one year of related experience. Experience with databases and non-profit fundraising practices preferred.  Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office required.
