Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India, and the United States, is seeking a CRM Administrator to join its Washington, DC-based IT Team.
The CRM Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our database. The administrator is responsible for the training of Carnegie’s approximately 100 users, and the maintenance of Carnegie’s approximately 250,000 contacts, related accounts, and opportunities. The CRM Administrator will work closely with the development, finance, and communication teams on the implementing best practices in our Salesforce (SF) CRM. They will also work closely with our program staff who will be the largest SF users. The Administrator will identify, develop, improve, and deploy new business processes. This role is part technical project manager, part administrator, and part business analyst.
Duties will include:
- focusing the organization’s use of data;
- handling all administrative functions related to the database;
- managing the salesforce improvement and governance process;
- automating processes using Salesforce tools;
- managing less complex Salesforce integrations;
- identifying, installing and maintaining appropriate apps from AppExchange;
- training new users on the system;
- creating documentation related to the system;
- and planning for upgrades, seasonal releases, and long-term projects.
The position requires at least 1 to 3 years of relevant CRM experience with one year of experience as a Salesforce administrator preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar related field is preferred. Salesforce Admin certification (ADM201 and ADM211) is preferred. Education or Certification may substitute for experience and experience may substitute for education. The ideal candidate will have a documented history of successful project completion related to CRM and/or Salesforce, a demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex processes, and the ability to quickly master new technology. Excellent project management skills, customer service skills, and time management skills are essential.
