About the position
As the Associate Director of Constituent Data for the American Kidney Fund (AKF), you will be part of our Constituent Data team, directly assisting the Director of Constituent Data on strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. With over $300 million processed annually through our development CRM, data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness are very important. You will also work with internal and external stakeholders to support data needs and take the lead on several special projects and integrations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Alongside the Director of Constituent Data, identifies strategy around increasing the use of Raiser’s Edge, by incorporating data from other departments, providing high level reporting, and identifying potential system enhancements.
  • Serves as strategic partner to the Director of Constituent Data on all projects related to fundraising operations and data analysis.
  • Serve as power user for Tableau and other business intelligence software for use in high level analytics
  • Works with members of the Development department to manage specialty solicit/attribute codes as requested.
  • Serves as lead support on all projects related to wealth screenings, including but not limited to list production, import of results, and analytical reporting.
  • Assists in the establishment of moves management tracking system in database of record.
  • Alongside Director of Constituent Data, works with internal stakeholders to identify, create and maintain dashboards to support fundraising, communications, and stewardship efforts.
  • Creates solicitor reporting system to allow fundraisers to track proposal progress.
  • Responds to requests for information for grant applications.
  • Creates and QC reports from all available data sources.
  • Works to identify areas of additional quality controls to be put in place within our data entry processes.

Office of Development Project Support

  • Manages annual projects including the annual holiday card, updating coding for the new fiscal year, and creating new annual appeals for use by the data team.
  • Works directly with fundraisers to track planned giving revenue/pledges.
  • Utilizing Development CRM training program, provides training to all new staff on Raiser’s Edge use, data best practices and dashboards and subsequently maintains an on-going schedule of training for existing staff. Provides to Director of Constituent Data, recommendations for updating internal process documentation to be used during training. Provide ongoing training for existing staff, as needed.
  • Provides support to Director of Constituent Data to ensure relevant data for assessment, comparative reports, and program updates are available in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partners with Director of Constituent Data on high-level inter-departmental projects including but not limited to product implementation and integration of systems. Creates timelines, project plans, and assignments for deliverables.
  • Works with fundraisers on special projects and requests for reports.
  • Manages inventory of supplies for Constituent Relations team.
  • Provides project support to external vendors, as required.
  • Serves as a back-up for the Constituent Data Coordinators, as needed.
  • Performs additional related duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Solid understanding of the nonprofit space and the functions of a development department.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, especially in a lead role.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and requests and prioritize accordingly.
  • Experience in creating and presenting reports for data analysis and forecasting to internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated competencies in setting goals, development strategies and schedules to meet those goals.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex working relations.
  • Proficient in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud Luminate Online, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with importing tool is required, experience with Omatic software and Tableau is preferred.
  • Well organized and detail oriented; able to effectively work independently and within a team framework.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with a high level of integrity.

AKF works on a hybrid work schedule with employees working two days in the office and three days of telework. AKF requires employees to be fully vaccinated by their first day of hire.
