During this fast-paced session, you will hear about ways to raise more money for your organization that are so easy you’ll wish you’d have done them sooner. These tips apply to online and offline fundraising, are things that are quick to implement and incorporate into your fundraising strategy, and require minimal resources and investment—especially compared to the results they will deliver. This session is presented by a fellow nonprofit fundraiser/communicator/wearer-of-all-hats who has implemented these tactics and raised more money as a result. You will also have a chance to learn from other session participants about simple ways they have boosted their fundraising efforts.

Julia Toepfer is the senior marketing & digital engagement strategist at the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC). Julia has more than 15 years of experience working in nonprofit communications, management, and fundraising for organizations around the country. She is an experienced storyteller, writer, marketer, campaigner, fundraiser, and digital strategist. She has provided training and consulting services for nonprofits, unions, and organizations to strengthen their social media channels and develop impactful online campaigns. Julia lives in Denver and likes exploring the mountains with her husband and their dog, Bernie.

Rosalind 'Roz' Zavras is a non-profit operations expert with over 15 years of experience building operational infrastructure for global and local social impact organizations. She evaluates systemic challenges and designs new tools to overcome them.  She also implements innovative strategies to help organizations grow. Roz’s experience includes implementing and/or managing a wide range of financial, HR, ecommerce, logistics, and CRM platforms, such as NetSuite, MIP Abila, Xero, Quickbooks, Gusto, BambooHR, Squareworks, Shopify, Odoo, Hubspot, Donor Perfect, and Salesforce. She has solved challenges ranging from revamping cash-based accounting systems in East Africa to creating a grant and donor tracking for a city-based community foundation. She also has an extensive background in managing large governmental and foundation grants for organizations such as USAID, NSF, and Open Society Foundations. She has helped over a hundred organizations build new systems for scale.
