NTEN Faculty at a lecturnDemonstrate your expert nonprofit skills and support the future of your sector by becoming an NTEN trainer.

As we prepare to launch more than 30 in-depth courses in nonprofit technology, we are looking for trainers with areas of expertise in fundraising, IT, leadership, marketing and communications, and programs.

This is a unique, paid opportunity for people who want to lead their sector. These are not webinars: they are in-depth courses including pre-readings, coursework, homework, and deep online training in our state-of-the-art training portal. We’ve set the topics and the learning outcomes; you develop the training and the materials.

Many courses are accredited by CAE and CFRE, and all can count towards the Nonprofit Technology Professional Certificate, a landmark program in which NTEN is leading the sector.

How It Works

Our Education Program staff work with you to support the following for each course:

  • Sharing 1–2 pre-readings to introduce key concepts and ideas (typically relevant blog posts)
  • Create 4 quiz questions based on pre-readings (multiple choice, true/false, etc.)
  • 90-minute live training
  • Homework assignment (3–4 open questions that allow participants to apply new ideas to their own work)
  • Provide feedback via email on homework submissions

Courses are run 1–2 times per year.

We provide compensation for content creation, course delivery, and time spent responding to homework. We’ll discuss details after your application is submitted

Faculty positions for our current course catalogue are all filled and we are not taking any new applications. This page will be updated in the future as we expand our offerings and open up more opportunities to join us as faculty.
