Webinar: Moving to the Cloud: A Practical Guide

We’ve talked about the cloud in broad terms over the years in a range of NTEN webinars and sessions at the Nonprofit Technology Conference. Based on feedback from the NTEN Community, Johanny Torrico and Matt Eshleman from Community IT have developed a webinar that will discuss specific processes and tools that nonprofits use to migrate organizations’ files and email from on site to Office 365 and Google Apps.

Speaker: Matthew Eshleman
As the Chief Technology Officer at Community IT, Matthew Eshleman is responsible for shaping Community IT’s strategy in assessing and recommending technology solutions to clients. With a deep background in network infrastructure technology he fundamentally understands how technology works and interoperates both in the office and in the cloud. Matt joined Community IT as an intern in the summer of 2000 and after finishing his dual degrees in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems at Eastern Mennonite University he rejoined Community IT as a network administrator in January of 2001. Matt has steadily progressed up at Community IT and while working full time received his MBA from the Carey School of Business at Johns Hopkins University. Matt is a frequent speaker at NTEN events and has presented at the Inside NGO conference and Non-Profit Risk Management Summit. He lives in Baltimore MD with his wife, daughter and son. Matt is an active member of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society and the support committee of the Baltimore Mennonite Voluntary Service unit.
Speaker: Johanny Torrico
As Vice President of Operations at Community IT, Johanny Torrico is responsible for overseeing all service operations teams, and ensure smooth transition from technology to operational support and services. Johanny's focus is on continual service improvements, efficiency as well as engaging in improving and developing processes that help shape a sound service delivery model at Community IT. Johanny joined Community IT as a network administrator in 2006, working her career up to Network Engineer, Manager, Director and now VicePresident. Johanny Torrico, is currently working on developing the online document management practice at Community IT, currently focus specifically on the SharePoint practice at Community IT. Under this current 'transformation initiative' she is focusing in helping organizations to learn, communicate, and understand their data and translate that to architecting information that makes sense.
