NTEN Lab North Carolina: Campaign Planning & Management

Campaigns can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. The clear “Finish Line” may make immediate results easier to see than our ongoing work but campaign efforts also seem to consume so many resources toward a single final goal. Does it really have to feel this way all the time?

Whether your focus is on fundraising, advocacy, special events, or program delivery, the level of ROI generated by campaigns toward your mission is often more dependent on your process than if you simply reached your “goal.”

During this Lab, we will spend the day working through strategies, frameworks, and best practices to help guide you through the overall lifecycle of a successful campaign, from planning to implementation, all with a focus on engaging and learning from your community throughout the process. Be prepared for exercises that will get you thinking about a particular campaign your organization is currently developing or getting ready to begin. Also, come ready to share your experiences, tips, and questions with the rest of the group as we work to learn as a community.

You’re going to get a chance to learn from experts, connect with peers, find greater success in your nonprofit campaigns, and have some fun along the way.

At this NTEN Lab, you will learn how to:

  • Develop your campaign strategy using frameworks

  • Effectively manage a campaign

  • Monitor & evaluate the “success” of your campaign

  • Integrate campaigns and community building for long-term impact
