Description

How can you measure digital inclusion in a community? It takes a deeper understanding of data and how it can inform strategic digital equity decisions.

In this course, you’ll explore the wide-ranging digital inclusion components and data tools for assessing your community. You’ll increase your ability to develop programs and partnerships by building knowledge of available public data. You’ll get familiar with the ways data can be compiled, filtered, and interpreted to tell stories, make a case, access resources, and further your mission.

Roberto Gallardo is Assistant Director of the Purdue Center for Regional Development and a Purdue Extension Community & Regional Economics Specialist. He holds an electronics engineering undergraduate degree, a master's in economic development, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration. Gallardo has worked with rural communities over the past decade conducting local & regional community economic development, including use of technology for development.
Blended courses run for one week and offer a mix of self-paced and live events to offer both the flexibility you need with the personal connection you want.

Live Event

This is a 90-minute live captioned online training with opportunities to interact with the presenter and your peers. And if you can't make the live session, you'll be able to access a captioned recording.

Homework

Faculty, themselves experts with a wealth of nonprofit experience, have created exercises that will reinforce what you've learned and give you actionable steps to improving your organization.
