Since 2000, NTEN has been a trusted resource for nonprofits and vendors navigating the nonprofit technology landscape. Our staff includes experts in fields ranging from program design and organization management to web development and digital campaigns, and each of us shares a deep commitment to fulfilling our vision and mission. If your team is working through a technology decision, building internal capacity, applying an equity framework, or designing an offering for the sector, we'd like to help.
Every engagement starts with a needs assessment to make sure we're the right fit and can genuinely add value. The areas below highlight some of the common ways that nonprofits, funders, and vendors work with NTEN but these are not the only options. Get in touch to tell us what you're working on.
For technology companies
If your company builds tools for or wants to work with nonprofits, NTEN can help you understand what the sector actually needs. We can help you tailor your product or service for nonprofit use cases, design meaningful CSR or sector investment strategies, and build credibility within the community.
Equity in technology
NTEN's Equity Guide for Nonprofit Technology offers a framework for embedding equity into your technology decisions and practices. We can work alongside your team to apply it to your policies, processes, and day-to-day work. We intentionally work with nonprofits, funders, and vendors as the Equity Guide includes everyone.
Funder and grantee support
If you're a funder looking to increase the technical capacity of your grantees — or design technology-for-good programs through your company — NTEN brings both sector knowledge and hands-on program experience to the work. Bring our programs and resources directly to your network.
Learning management system setup
Beyond strategy, we can handle the technical setup of your learning management system — because we manage our own. Use NTEN's own LMS on your own systems, or let us help you develop your own. We provide full shared services or an outside expert guiding your implementation.
Digital literacy program design
Through NTEN's Digital Inclusion Fellowship, we've spent years training nonprofit staff to build and run digital literacy programs within their own organizations. We can help you design something similar for your community that fits within your mission, including supporting and coaching your staff to run and maintain key services.
Accessibility
Building accessibility into your materials and programs is both a technical and a strategic undertaking. NTEN can help you assess where you are, identify gaps, and implement practical improvements — from document and web accessibility to captioning, screen reader compatibility, and inclusive program design.
How it works
Every engagement starts with a needs assessment. Before scoping any work, we want to make sure we're the right fit and can genuinely add value to what your organization is doing.
We'll work with you to identify where to focus, scope the work together, and then get started. Everything we do is grounded in the equitable and ethical use of technology — we try to live that in how we work, not just what we talk about.
