I was born and did most of my growing up in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I moved to the Pacific Northwest with my family at the beginning of high school and have lived here ever since. I currently reside in Vancouver, WA, with my partner, the cutest kid, a dog, and a cat.
I earned a BA in Communication from Washington State University in 2009. After graduating, I spent some time in various roles, trying to find something that would be the best fit for me. In 2016 my daughter was born, and I took the opportunity to take a break from the workforce and be a stay-at-home parent for the first several years of her life. During this time, I also earned an MBA from Oregon State University. I graduated in 2020 and joined NTEN in 2021. Being pretty green when it comes to the nonprofit sector, my passion for inclusion and creating a more accessible world ultimately drove me to this line of work.
I am an avid musician and moonlight as the singer and guitarist of a Portland, OR-based rock band. If I’m not making music, you’ll probably find me putting together Lego models, playing video games from the '90s, or consuming some form of science fiction. Sometimes I enjoy running.
