Pattie Carlin
Finance and Operations Director

I started in nonprofits when I was recruited to conduct interviews for a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant evaluation of wraparound services for kids and families living with mental illness. Seeing what these families were dealing with made me want to get involved and create real change for them. As the study wrapped up, I was hired to be the executive director of a peer-led family support organization, and my nonprofit career began. Thanks to those experiences, I have a passion for supporting and advocating for people and organizations in meaningful, strengths-based, and culturally appropriate ways. I attended my first NTC in 2011 and was hooked on the NTEN community. I was an accidental techie, and NTEN got me. I was so excited to become an official NTEN staff person in 2017.
When I'm not trying to save the world, I am traveling, collecting craft supplies that may never be used, and trying to convince my partner that I need a dog.
