Every February, we here at NTEN find that just one day of love is never enough, especially when it comes to our techies. Accidental, communications, IT or any other flavor of techie, where would you be without yours

We pondered that very question about our own techie, Karl, and realized we would have to eat a lot more tater tots without him. And there's some other stuff too...

We used Sproutbuilder.com -- more on them later --to create an easy way for you to send a little light-hearted love (and the gift of NTEN) to your favorite Techie for Good.

You can help:

• Send your techie friend an e-Valentine. Your message will be broadcast 'Net-wide through the Sprout.

• Install our "Love Your Techie" widget (below) on your Facebook profile, blog, or whathaveyou to help us get the word out. It's simple! Just click the Sprout's "Share" button.

• Invite all of your socially networked friends to install our widget, as well.

On Love Your Techie Day (February 14th -- if Hallmark can create a holiday, so can we) we'll wrap your message in a pretty package and send it along with a coupon good for 10% off a new NTEN membership; they can use it themselves or pass it on.

You can even send it to yourself. We won't judge.

Love is definitely in the air! A while back, we asked you to share your geek love poetry, and this is what we got! From funny to sincere, there's some great stuff here! It's not to late to submit your very own geek love poem, or to get your geek a little sumthin' sumthin'! We'll keep updating this post with any new submissions we receive.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. It's a weird holiday, dedicated to the memories of two St. Valentines, both of whom died martyrs for their faith.

We here at NTEN believe that if you're going to celebrate martyrs for the cause, you ought to do it right. So we're declaring February 14 "Love Your Techie Day!" Take some time over the next couple of weeks to celebrate the techie in your life - accidental or otherwise. Let them know that you appreciate that they are the first in, the last to leave, and the one who gets blamed when anything goes wrong.

All this Microsoft Vista Hoopla got me thinking:

winds blowing change here
always howling faster, on!
vista now, what next?

And I figure that someone out there must love writing haiku as much as I do. If you are a poetry fan, share your geeky poems with us!
