2009 Nonprofit Technology Conference Live!
Man, we really wish you were here.
The 2009 NTC has SOLD OUT. Since you can't be with us, we're trying to ease the pain by working to put as much of the NTC as possible online. On this page, you'll find everything you need to play along at home.*
09NTC in Social Media
- Twitter: Follow 09NTC to get all the updates from the conference as they happen. Want to share your two cents? Use #09NTC in your tweets.
- Flickr: Look for photos from the conference tagged 09NTC. Here's what we got from the 08NTC.
- Podcasts: We've talked with a good number of NTC speakers for our somewhat-regular podcast. You can find them all in iTunes -- or on our blog.
Sessions as Webinars
The fantastic folks at ReadyTalk -- long time partners with a great discount for NTEN members -- are bringing you six NTC sessions as webinars. We'll open registration shortly.
You'll be able to hear the speakers and see their slides, just like any other webinar. As an added bonus, you'll be able to chat YOUR questions to the speakers, and the ReadyTalk folks will make sure they get answered! Of course, the recordings will be available after the conference, as well.
Here are the sessions we're planning to cover (permissions, etc. pending):
- 10:30 am Pacific / Monday April 27: Google Media: Google Grants, Blogger, YouTube, Maps
- 1:30 pm Pacific / Monday April 27: Online Organizing for Community Organizers (and vice versa)
- 3:30 pm Pacific / Monday April 27: DIY Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- 10:30 am Pacific / Tuesday April 28: Unleashing the Ultimate Cool Factor: Case Studies of Conferences Energized Through Social Media
- 1:30 pm Pacific / Tuesday April 28: Confessions of a Social Media Campaigner
- 3:30 pm Pacific / Tuesday April 28: What nonprofits can learn from the presidential campaigns' (and other nonprofits’) 2008 online efforts
Live Streaming
We're also going to bring you another six sessions via live-streaming video, thanks to our partners at Causecast.org. It'll be just like you're in the room, if the room were very large and you were sitting in the way back and the speakers were holograms. But seriously, this will be a great way to see sessions as they happen. Again, the recordings will be available after the conference, but isn't live more fun?
Here are the sessions we're planning to cover (permissions, etc. pending):
- 10:30 am Pacific / Monday, April 27: Selecting and Implementing Open Source Constituent Relationship Management: views from the trenches with CiviCRM, MPower & SugarCRM users
- 1:30 pm Pacific / Monday, April 27: Advancing Your Career and Earning What You Deserve
- 3:30 pm Pacific / Monday, April 27: Integrated Mobile Advocacy and Online Fundraising: Text "Mobile" to 69866 to find out why you should attend!
- 10:30 am Pacific / Tuesday, April 28: Join! Renew! Give! Get! Successful elements of fundraising campaigns
- 1:30 pm Pacific / Tuesday, April 28: Why The Donate Button Isn't Enough: Designing program-centric appeals online
- 3:30 pm Pacific / Tuesday, April 28: Cloud Computing: More than just IT plumbing in the sky
Live Blogging
We've recruited NTC attendees of all stripes to live blog their way through the NTC. As they sit in sessions, they'll type up the salient points, questions, and answers. You can join in the fun by watching the stream and sharing your thoughts and commentary with the bloggers.
The transcripts will be preserved for everyone after the NTC.
