NTC Ignite Presentations

NTC 2010

It's been called "injecting the NTC into your veins." It's been called "networking on steroids." It's the purest dose you can get of the passions of NTC attendees. Ignite talks give you the opportunity to share your fascinations with the NTC community. But, there's a catch. You are strictly limited to five minutes, and twenty slides, which automatically advance every 15 seconds. This year, we've scheduled Ignite talks for the first night of the conference, so everyone who sees your talk will have a chance to catch you in the halls and ask you more about your presentation. We are currently accepting applications for Ignite speakers. If you've got a passion that you can't wait to share, hop on over to the online ignite application, and tell us what you'd like to present.

About Ignite

If you're familiar with Ignite, you know it's an awesome way to show off. If you're not, Ignite is a style of presentation:

  • Participants have five minutes to speak on a subject, accompanied by 20 slides.
  • Each slide is displayed for 15 seconds.
  • Slides are automatically advanced.
  • Oh, the excitement!

Ignite aims to transmit entertaining and engaging ideas from a varied group of presenters. The first Ignite session was held in 2006 in Seattle, Washington, sponsored by O'Reilly and MAKE magazine. O'Reilly has continued to support Ignite but each Ignite is independently organized at the local level.
