Now in its fourth year, the theme for Connecting Up 2007 is "We can do IT!"
Conference Goals:

• To provide a platform for Australian communities, businesses, and governments to share experiences, successes, and lessons learned from community-change programs and projects.
  

• To promote the social and economic benefits of access to affordable technology for disadvantaged and isolated communities.
  

• To provide opportunities for like-minded nonprofits, communities, governments, and businesses to build networks and develop programs and projects.

• To create momentum towards a national approach to ensuring that the technology capacity of community and nonprofit organizations allows them to effectively operate in the digital world.
  

In 2006, the conference featured some 50-plus presenters and 250 attendees from Australia and around the globe.
