Beth Kanter and KD Paine, co-authors of the newly published Measuring the Networked Nonprofit, will share tips, stories, and lots of practical information about your nonprofit can transform its culture to embrace the data.
The webinar will share a powerful simple framework, "The 7 Steps of Measurement," that will help your organization learn how to set measurable goals, come up with the perfect Key Performance Indicator, select the right measurement tools and metrics, and most importantly how to make sense of your data. We'll also share some some tips and frameworks for measuring engagement to improve relationships with your organization's stakeholders.
About the Presenters:
Beth Kanter is the author of Beth’s Blog: How Nonprofits Can Use Social Media, one of the longest running and most popular blogs for nonprofits. She co-authored the book titled “The Networked Nonprofit” with Allison Fine published by J Wiley in 2010 that received Honorable Mention for the Terry McAdams Award. Beth has over 30 years working in the nonprofit sector in technology, training, capacity building, evaluation, fundraising, and marketing. Her second book, Measuring the Networked Nonprofit, with Co-Author KD Paine, will be published in October, 2012.
Katie Delahaye Paine
Katie Delahaye Paine is a world traveler, author, consultant and PR measurement guru that has been publishing, presenting and educating us about PR and social metrics long before social media, social web, social this and social that became fashionable amongst communicators, marketers and mainstream media. She is the Chief Marketing Officer of News Group International as well as the founder and chairman of KDPaine & Partners Inc. a subsidiary of News Group International. Her books, Measure What Matters (Wiley, March 2011) and Measuring Public Relationships (KDPaine & Partners 2007) are considered must reading for anyone tasked with measuring public relations and social media. Her latest book, written with Beth Kanter, “Measuring the Networked Nonprofit,” was published recently by Jossey-Bass. She publishes kdpaine.blogs.com and The Measurement Standard, the first such publications dedicated entirely to measurement and accountability. Paine was recently named the Society of New Communications Research “Fellow of the Year,” for her work in support of Social Media Research. She was recently named one of “25 women who rock social media” by Lee Odden’s prestigious OnLine Marketing Blog. In 2008, she was named one of PR Week’s 2008 Power Players for her advocacy of PR measurement.Her firm won both the 2009 and 2010 New Communications Award of Excellence for its breakthrough work in social media research. Katie is a Senior Fellow and Advisory Board member of the Society for New Communications Research. She was also an initial founder of the Institute for Public Relations Measurement Commission. She writes a regular column for PR News on corporate image and crisis communications and contributes to Communications World, PR Week, Business Marketing and New Hampshire Magazine. She is also on the Advisory Board for the International Public Relations Research Conference (IPRRC) and serves on the Board of Trustees of Exeter Health Resources.
