Darian Rodriguez Heyman, Co-Producer of Social Media for Nonprofits
After five years of service, Darian recently stepped down as Executive Director of Craigslist Foundation. His new book, Nonprofit Management 101: A Complete and Practical Guide for Leaders and Professionals, includes practical tips and tools from 50 recognized experts across 35 topics, and he recently launched a global Social Media for Nonprofits conference series, which provides practical tips and tools for fundraising, marketing, and advocacy. He also blogs for the Huffington Post and and Skoll Foundation’s Social Edge. Heyman previously served as a Commissioner for the Environment for the City and County of San Francisco and is a public speaker that provides strategy, messaging, and fundraising consulting for nonprofits and green economy organizations.
Dave Boyce, CEO, Fundly
Dave Boyce is the CEO of Fundly, the most widely used online social fundraising platform in the country, which powers donation pages for non-profits by leveraging existing social networks of their supporters. Dave believes peer-to-peer interaction is key for non-profits to able to turn online givers into gatherers. Under Dave’s leadership, Fundly continues to see a growing increase in donation levels for its clients, which currently results in more than $230 million for political and non-profit campaigns from hundreds of thousands of individual donors. Dave has become a thought leader in the innovation of social fundraising, participating as a speaker and panelist at conferences across the U.S. Prior to Fundly, Dave was an early executive and VP of Business Development & Marketing at ProfitLogic, a company that created and defined the retail price and inventory optimization space. Dave helped define and execute strategies for fundraising, partnership development, brand development, and sales & marketing, which led the company to be sold to Oracle in 2005, where Dave continued as the VP of Strategy for Oracle’s Retail Business Unit.
