CoP: (Easily) Creating Reusable Drupal Features
Event Details
Find yourself recreating the same content types and views every time you build a new site? In this webinar, you'll learn how to build reusable Drupal "Features" step-by-step. The Features Module, empowers Drupal site builders (including non-programmers) to convert Content Types, Views and more into actual Drupal modules without writing a single line of code. Install your new module into a new site and your content types and views appear as if you'd spent the time to create them again. Even better, you can then override the settings for the new site without messing up the module version.
You'll learn how to install the Features module, create your first feature, and install it into a new website. We'll also cover the structure of the feature created so that intermediate developers can add functions to the feature's module. Finally, we'll briefly demonstrate how to use Drush to update the module with new configuration.
