Amy Rubin launched Strategic Productions in October 2009 after catching her breath from the 2008 U.S. election cycle where she worked as a new media director on a presidential campaign and then as the new media communications director for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC). Amy's work in politics has always featured a healthy intersection with new media, digital filmaking and advocacy work and her most recent venture, Strategic Productions (StP), continues to reflect this smorgasbord of creative content and digital strategy for good.

Amy's focus with StP has been building a next-generation digital content production and distribution firm that enables causes, campaigns and companies to reach and engage a new audience online and identify and achieve specific ROI success metrics. Less than a year after launching StP, Amy has already developed and executed over thirty different campaigns and produced countless pieces of digital content and web videos. One of Amy's earliest successes with StP was the Sarah Doesn't Speak for Me campaign which generated over 200,000 views in two days, was covered everywhere from CNN and ABC to the Wall Street Journal and Jezebel and resulted in over $50,000 worth of ad equivalency earned media.

Amy has been a frequent speaker at leading marketing, political and technology conferences. She has been a featured panelist at the YearlyKos convention, Politics Online Conference and traveled to Madrid to deliver a keynote address at the Online Marketing Espana convention in 2009. At the DSCC, Amy launched the first-ever, nationwide senatorial video-new media campaign, The Road to Victory. Her work for the DSCC was featured in numerous local and national media outlets, including, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, The Rachel Maddow Show, The New York Times, The L.A. Times and the NPR program All Things Considered. Prior to the 2008 political cycle Amy sharpened her digital and creative chops working for a Boston-based social media startup, traveling throughout West Africa and then Israel and the West Bank producing long and short-form documentaries. Amy has also harbored an entrepreneurial spirit and work approach since launching her first venture, at the age of eighteen, Generation Why - a company that produced short-form docu-videos and interactive workshops on self-esteem and community involvement for high school students and summer camps.
