Net Neutrality is the principle that has made the Internet the greatest engine for free speech, civic engagement, and economic innovation ever known. This basic right continues to be under threat and the nonprofit sector has work to do to ensure a free and open Web for our sector and the people we serve.

NTEN is excited to be working with the Free Press Action Fund to keep the nonprofit sector informed on Net Neutrality and also to put action behind our words at the first Nonprofit Technology Conference Lobby Day on March 17, 2011. NTC attendees will be able to visit their members of Congress to tell them how important a free and open Internet is to their nonprofits, to our sector, and the people we serve.

We want to make sure you have all the information you need to have a successful Lobby Day, so we're hosting a webinar to cover all the details. Anyone is welcome to join to learn more -- you do not need to be registered for the NTC or Lobby Day.

Erin Gamble is deputy director of online media at ACDI/VOCA, a nonprofit that works in international economic development. She manages the organization's corporate website (www.acdivoca.org) and project websites and helps coordinate its social media presences. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and taking photos of anything that catches her eye.
