About the Presenter

Christopher Johnson is an entrepreneur making technology accessible and useful for growing companies and organizations. He's the cofounder and CEO of ifPeople, an Atlanta-based company that provides strategic consulting and integrated cloud-based tools for websites, email marketing, social media, and relationship management. ifPeople has honed a disciplined process that allows them to create solutions unique to each customer yet in a consistent, rapid way.

Christopher combines a passion for problem solving, a systems perspective and a decade of international experience in order to turn today's challenges into opportunities to create a more just, sustainable world. He finds himself being a bridge - between technology and sustainability and between thought leaders and laggards that want to learn - and enjoys being involved with rapidly growing companies in green and clean tech fields. He has worked in sustainability since 1998 and led research, cofounded an international network for Corporate Social Responsibility in Latin America (and raised nearly $2.5 million for the project), served as CTO for a fair trade startup, and taught sustainability in MBA programs in Argentina. As cofounder of a tech startup, he has also learned to speak "developer" and work collaboratively with his own and other software engineers through the open source movement. Christopher is an active member of the Plone community and was selected to be a member of the Plone Foundation in 2008. He organized an open source ecommerce framework in Plone (GetPaid), an Agile project management software (Agilito), is a host for the Atlanta Plone user group, and leads projects related to web and CRM integration. Christopher currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Green Chamber of the South and on the Advisory Council of Georgia Green Loans to support growing clean-tech and green economy in the Southeast.

Though a native of Atlanta, Christopher has lived on six continents during five years abroad. He frequently trains and presents at events and conferences in both English and Spanish. He is known for his leadership and facilitation skills, yerba mate, and a mean cook of fried green tomatoes. He has a son, Alon, is his Junior Officer of Keepin' It Real (aka JOKeR). Chris graduated cum laude with a degree in physics from Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he also studied environmental policy, law, and engineering.
