So, you got all this money from your last fundraiser to save the whales.  How many whales did you save?  In which parts of the world were the most whales saved?  How big are the whales you saved?  Which types of whales were saved?  Do you know whether the whales you saved are Justin Bieber fans?

As a nonprofit, your job is not only to get funding, but to apply that funding toward your mission and to keep track of the outcomes.  We all know that fundraising is essential to addressing the costs of operations, from keeping the lights on to paying your staff.  But just as important is how that money is applied to your mission.  Whether it is student admissions, land conservation, case management or saving the whales, you need to track and manage those processes.  That tracking is what we refer to as “mission management”.  When done correctly, you are able to track and share the benefits of your fundraising efforts.  As a result, staff, media, donors and grantees are more likely to invest in your mission.  This session will show examples of how organizations are using their CRM to manage not only fundraising efforts, but their missions as well.  Remember why you got into this line of work?  It was for the mission, not the money.  Let us show you how your CRM can help remind you of that.
