Show ‘n Tell: Social Media Dashboards
Event Details
Show ‘n Tell doesn’t just have to be a childhood memory -- it’s still a great way to learn and share about new ideas that are just beginning to take some shape. You know you should be tracking social media stats and creating metrics for growth and change. But where exactly do you begin?
Come and learn about how other nonprofit social media & digital managers are tracking their organizations across the social web. You’ll see social media dashboards from Carie Lewis, The Humane Society of the United States, Danielle Brigida, National Wildlife Federation and Wendy Harman, Red Cross. As well, you’ll hear them talk about the ideas and strategies that went into creating their nonprofit’s social media dashboards. Bring your questions and feedback for an engaging Q/A segment.

Carie Lewis - As Director of Emerging Media at The Humane Society of the United States, Carie leads social media and online advertising campaigns for the nation’s largest and most powerful animal welfare organization. She has a strong passion for using social networks, particularly Facebook and Twitter, for the purpose of community building.
As media is constantly changing, a large part of Carie’s responsibilities include evaluating new technologies and trends as well as brand monitoring, web analytics, online volunteer coordination, and search engine optimization.
Carie is a member of the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) and the American Marketing Association (AMA), and has been interviewed for articles on The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Fundraising Success Magazine, and The Nonprofit Times. Danielle Brigida - Danielle works as the Social Media Outreach Coordinator for the National Wildlife Federation. She supports constituent outreach by investigating online tools and social networking sites to discover how best to use them to educate, engage and mobilize people to protect wildlife.
As NWF's lead voice on social media sites, she tracks emerging trends and finds the most effective ways to drive traffic to NWF's campaigns.
Danielle graduated from Christopher Newport University with a B.A. in Technical Writing with minors in Biology and Communications. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing scrabble, puzzling and spending time outdoors.
Wendy Harman - I am a professional listener, online community member, and social web explorer. I create and execute all social media strategy for American Red Cross National Headquarters, which means I figure out how to use new technologies and communities to fulfill the mission. I endeavor to educate and empower 686 Red Cross chapters, 36 blood regions, 700,000 volunteers, millions of donors and the public to work together to become more efficient and raise awareness about preventing, preparing for and responding to emergencies.
