About the Presenters

C. Douglas Plank, CEO/Founder Mobilecause, is an executive with 28 years of professional leadership and administrative experience in cause-related and non-profit institutions including higher education, social services, medical and faith. A consummate fundraising leader, Doug has extensive expertise in capital campaigns, board development, annual funds, alumni services, events, major gifts, planned giving/strategy, staff training, design and implementation. He has helped lead campaigns raising more than $500 million. His nonprofit fundraising background combined with the wireless and product development experience of his business partners has led to developing what has become the premiere mobile fundraising, broadcasting, polling and CRM program in the U.S. In the corporate arena, Doug was a senior partner and managing director of a premier leadership and performance development center as well as co-founder/partner in Telesis/Medical Accounting Group, one of the first electronic medical claims / insurance billing companies in the U.S., serving private practice, hospital-based physicians, and medical centers. Doug currently serves as an advisory board member of Pelagique, a wireless and online medical information content provider, Pepperdine University's School of Law Palmer Center, The Innogive Foundation, and previously on the Boy Scouts of America WLACC, Scimitar Leadership Academy, Seaver College Board of Visitors and Young life Malibu.

Larry Eason, President & Founder of digital strategy and communications firm DotOrgPower, helps dot orgs harness the web and new media to achieve their goals. He works with cause leaders to expand their sense of what is possible online and to use that transformed thinking to innovate and succeed. Larry is an evangelist for the power of online storytelling – pioneering digital storytelling in the 1990s to advance grassroots advocacy. In 2005 Larry received the Institute for Politics Democracy & the Internet's Golden Dot award for Best Statewide Internet Campaign for developing the online campaign for a California ballot measure funding mental health services. Larry led the online campaigns to defeat California Propositions 1D and 1E in 2009 and to defeat California Proposition 85 in 2006. Larry's clients include the California Department of Mental Health, International Medical Corps, the Parent Revolution, RAND Corporation, Eleven-Eleven.org, and US PIRG Education Fund. Larry is chair of the board for Healthy Child Healthy World and provides pro bono web strategy to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. A surfer, painter and potter Larry teaches ceramics and lives with his wife Wendy, daughter Elise, and 5 rescue dogs in Los Angeles, CA.
