This session will look at how top non-profits use data to gain support for their organization's mission. More than ever, funders want to know the social ROI of their support. This session will look at real examples of how successful organizations quantify their impact and use data to fully understand the need for their mission.

Takeaways:

1. How to develop a framework for demonstrating the social ROI of your organization

2. Learn how to align strategic objectives with performance metrics

3. Get ideas based on real examples that have been used with success

This session will be presented live at the 2010 Nonprofit Technology Conference.  You can register to view the live presentation -- the slides and audio, just like any other webinar, from the comfort of your office or home.  You'll also be able to participate and ask your questions through the chat feature.

Presented by: Michael Enos, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, Simon Moloney, Conifer Analytics and Jane Regan, Public Interest Network

Michael Enos's professional career began in social work after graduating from University of California, Santa Cruz. A native of Orange County, Michael stayed in the Santa Cruz area and worked in the social services profession as first a provider of direct care for persons with developmental disabilities, then overseeing services that provided community living opportunities to adults with disabilities for a large bay-area non-profit. As a senior manager, he transitioned into a role as a technical consultant, developing data systems to help measure and track service quality to the individuals being served. Michael was hired at Second Harvest Food Bank in 2000 to manage technology and information systems. He has helped transform the organization into a more effective enterprise, using sophisticated technology to efficiently distribute food, communicate, raise money, and measure the Food Bank's impact. In his current role as Chief Technology Officer, Michael oversees all technical operations, provides strategic support, and works at a national level with other enterprise food banks on developing best practice standards.
