Building the Foundation: Hardware, Software and Networks
Event Details
Your organization’s hardware, software, and network are the foundation of your technology implementation. If the foundation is not strong, it’s tough to succeed in any other area. It can be difficult to wade through the myriad options for each category, but we’ll help you cut through the jargon and review the essential knowledge needed to understand hardware, software and networks.Skill Takeaways:
- Develop a technology audit
- Manage a nonprofit’s technology assets
- Evaluate and choose appropriate software applications
(Please note this is the second webinar in the 7-part NTEN Technology Leadership Series.)
Presented by: John Kenyon, a nonprofit technology and internet strategist, who has worked with nonprofits for over 18 years providing advice, teaching seminars and writing articles about technology. Along with Michael Stein, he wrote The eNonprofit: a guide to ASPs, internet services and online software. He served as Training and Consulting Manager at Groundspring.org/Network for Good before returning to private practice in 2005. John’s practice concentrates on strategic uses of appropriate technologies with a focus on leveraging the internet.
