Class Overview

Since the introduction of technology into the nonprofit world budgeting has been an uphill battle. Many nonprofits have no set IT budget or budgeting process, let alone any funds, operations or support set aside. In this class we will look at how and why preparation of an IT budget is a crucial step in both controlling and managing IT costs.

Prerequisites

This class has no prerequisites.

Materials

Each student will be given course handouts. Students will also have 90 days of access to their instructor (via email) for questions and answers.

Objectives

* Understanding of total cost of ownership & IT life cycles.
* 6 key steps to developing an IT budget.
* Spending pattens and examples to compare budgets.
