501 Tech Club Missoula: Podcasting Workshop

This is a great workshop to attend if you're interested in starting a mission empowering public dialog for your non-profit through a podcast (which is much easier than a blog).

With podcasting you can set up your own talk show with almost no budget and with minimal effort.

When: THURSDAY, May 21 - Noon to 1:30.

Where: Missoula Chamber of Commerce (downstairs). Biga Pizza.

This workshop will explore:

 

  • How to make a real live podcast from scratch, from your website, to iTunes, to asking for, conducting, editing, and publishing a new podcast episode.
  • Recent breakthroughs in organizational change that makes it easy to conduct fun, positive, and natural interviews.
  • Producing podcasts: What kind of gear to get and podcasting tool sites.
  • How to find advertisers once you hit the big time.


About the presenters:

Lesley Lotto: Lesley has worked in the Entertainment industry for more than 20 years including experience in the music, film, TV and radio broadcasting industries. Her podcase, "Notes From The Northwest", had been in the top 20 of the Most Popular in News and Politics for that site and received as many as 10,000 hits per month.

Harold Shinsato is a programmer for SAP and is on the board for the Stevensville Playhouse where he publishes a podcast.
